Sports car museum Lány
The museum of sporting cars was formated by reconstruction of self-service market and neighbouring outbuilding. Finding in village Lány, region Rakovník. It was opened for public in October 1997. It decays in two floors and neighbouring deposit.
Here it is possibility to see more than 100 exhibits. The collection forms racing and sporting cars from twenties of last century after as much as present. Ford „T“ belongs to the oldiest ones and was made in 1914. More modern circuit cars and competition special cars are to be seen here as well.
One of the biggest attractions are cars which T.Enge drove as e.g. F1 Prost, F1 Jordan or formula IRL. There are very nice restaurant and hotel on those premises. The museum, near-by manor house Lány and near scene are really good motivation for trip not only for motorsport funs but for families with children as well.
The following web sites bring near you some exhibits from museum. The enumeration is not complete because structure of collection is continuously changing. After small rest, some cars came back on racing circuits for longer time. Some of them participace on various sporting actions for veterans during the season.
